Dear Colleagues and Friends!

I am pleased to inform you about TISSA 2010 and would like to invite you to come to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The TISSA conference will take place from 25 to 27 August 2010 and the TISSA PreConference from 22 to 24 August 2010. TISSA is grateful that this time the Social Work Institute of Tallinn University with Prof. Lauri Leppik as the director and his colleagues will be the host.
This year´s topic “Social Work in times of crisis” and the subsequent interpretations clearly show central problems which at least challenge Social Work in its identity and quality under the current political and social conditions all over Europe. You are kindly invited to join the conference. It is most welcome if you present a paper. The presentation is always done in an open discourse with the aim of a problem-oriented exchange of results and experience in practical Social Work or empirical findings and theoretical explanations.
Beside this topical plenum, there will also be a Phd PreConference which has been very successful over the years. PhD students from all over Europe are invited to present their work to others and an international supervisory board consisting of some professors from different European countries.
